Avery Financial Loan Officers

Jeff Avery started in the mortgage industry in 1994. In 1996 he incorporated to become Avery Financial Group. He served as President of the Idaho Association of Mortgage Brokers in 2006 and is currently the National Director and the Eastern Idaho Director of IAMB. His wife Stephanie and their six children can be seen at various ball games and cheering events throughout the community. He assists in coaching his boy’s ball teams. The whole family is involved in fitting, showing and driving their Belgian draft horses. In his spare time he loves to ride motorcycles with his kids. Jeff enjoys camping and family activities. Jeff believes in community. He donates his time giving financial classes for community seminars and church groups. His goal is to be able to help every client that comes into his office, whether it is to buy or refinance their home or just to give credit advice for the future. He believes in people and would be glad to help you with your home loan experience

Mike has been a mortgage loan officer since 1998 and in the mortgage business since 1996. He has worked at Avery Financial as a loan officer and the Pocatello Office Manager since April of 2004. Mike believes in continuing his education through attending as many seminars and classes as possible. He has been trained in underwriting by both FHA and Fannie Mae. He has also attended numerous classes on credit repair and how credit scores are calculated. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, basketball, fly fishing and camping with his family. He also volunteers as a leader in a local boy scout troop. Mike is married with three children.

Deborah has worked for the Avery Financial Group since 1996. She has worked as a loan processor for many of those years and for the past 3 years as a loan officer as well as a processor. She has lived in the Idaho Falls area her whole life. She enjoys working with new and old clients and loves to see their excited faces when they move into a new home. She also enjoys helping those who have had financial trouble in the past rearrange their finances to better accommodate their current situation. Deborah enjoys anything outdoors. She is married and has 4 very busy boys that will eventually require her to participate in all the things boys love to do.

R.Jay has been in the mortgage industry since 1999 and has worked for two major banks as a mortgage loan officer during this time. While at these institutions R.Jay specialized in Conventional, FHA, Idaho Housing loans, as well as New Construction Financing. R.Jay came to Avery Financial in April 2007 and loves the new loans that are now available to assist “all” clients on the path to home ownership. There is nothing more rewarding than assisting a family with their biggest investment - a new home. When R.Jay is not chasing his three kids around, he can be found golfing in the summer, hunting in the fall, and last but definitely not least, riding snowmobiles in the Idaho Mountains.

Darin has been working in the mortgage industry since 1996. Along with his experience as a loan officer, he has been involved with investment properties and private money lending. He has a solid understanding of rental properties and cash flows. He also used to be a field representative for a wholesale mortgage company. Darin and his wife Heidi have 5 kids. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, raquetball, and fishing.

Janet has been in the financial industry for 7 years and working as a Mortgage Loan Officer for 2 years. She loves helping others purchase or refinance their homes. She enjoys working with the public and helping them understand their credit reports. Janet was born and raised in Downey, Idaho, where she grew to love horses and all outdoor activities. She coaches girls basketball for a local school district. She and her husband have 2 sons that keep them very busy. In her spare time she enjoys riding and competing on her 5 horses.
